This year it was a pleasant day weatherwise, which was very good news. We were well placed inside Elstow Abbey just by John Bunyan’s Baptismal font. Setting up was easy, we have done it before and we were ready in time for the first visitors.

The day is spent talking to people about what we do on a Saturday night in Bedford town centre (help people stay safe) and why we do it (its a practical expression of Gods love). Explaining why we give out water, blankets, also offering our leaflets and mugs and chatting to the teenagers about how to stay safe when out drinking.

The time goes quickly and we take turns to go outside to the Fair to see all the stands and stalls on the green, as well as the musicians and dancers at Moot Hall. Late afternoon arrives and its time to pack away till the next event. A lovely time was had by all and thanks to Elstow Abbey for hosting us. Come and see us next May at Elstow Abbey…
