Working within the Bedford Borough Partnership

Bedford Street Angels are pleased to be an active member of the Bedford Borough Partnership, which brings together senior representatives from the community, private, public and voluntary sectors to work together to make Bedford a better place to live and work. See the article about Bedford Street Angels on their web site.

Supported by Bedford Borough Council

Since its early days, Bedford Street Angels has had the support of Bedford Borough Council. BSA is part of the:

Bed:Safe Steering Committee

Community Tactical Action Group

Serious Acquisitive Crime Working Party

Operational Delivery Group

Bed:Safe is an initiative Bedford Borough Council, other local agencies and Night Club owners that seeks to keep the town centre safe for people using the pubs and clubs at night. Street Angels keep in touch with police, door supervisors and taxi marshalls as we walk around the streets.

Supporting Bedfordshire Police

Street Angels keep in touch with police through the use of the Nite Net radio system. We work closely with the Night Time Economy and Licencing Officers, Community Engagement Officer and Police Intelligence.

Supported by Churches

The Bedford Street Angels project is supported by the following Church organisations:

All Bedford Churches Together

Bedford Town Centre Churches

Goldington Churches Together

Shalom Chuches Together

Hope  Bedfordshire

Diocese of St Albans

University of  Bedfordshire Chaplaincy Team

YMCA Bedfordshire

The following individual Churches have officially signed up to Bedford Street Angels and are represented on the BSA committee that oversees the project. Churches provide finance and encourage their members to volunteer as Street Angels, as administrators or to pray. A prayer card is available that churches can print and give out to members.
