Week of Prayer 13-20 October 2019

Bedford Street Angels would really appreciate your joining us in our up-coming Week of Prayer: 13-20 October 2019. We wish to continue to be “A practical expression of Christ’s love to all people”, especially on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, in the town centre, from 10pm to 4am (or later!).

THANKSGIVING

  • For the overseeing of, and assistance to, patrol teams, by the Council’s CCTV control room.
  • For the commencement of patrols by two non-warranted civilian Bedford BID personnel, that support the police and BSA patrols, and with whom we have a good relationship. They are paid for by town centre businesses to improve the atmosphere of the night-time economy.
  • For the 4 presentations to churches, made or booked, since our last Prayer Week in April 2019.
  • For an increase in the number of observers that are potential patrol volunteers.

INTERCESSION

  • For more female volunteers – each team must comprise at least one male and one female to be able to patrol.
  • For the existing observers to proceed to become recognised Street Angels, if the Lord wills so.
  • For a wider range of churches to join the 19 existing members of the charity.
  • For good weather during the coming winter, and good health and stamina amongst our noble Street Angels.

Your interest and support is invaluable! Could you join with at least one other Christian during the Week to seek
God’s blessing and empowerment upon a work that is done in His name? Maybe the contents of this post could be circulated to any small groups in your church or included in your weekly notices?
